When Jersey Jon walked into The Backstop that day he had no idea that he would become part of hobby history. After looking around the store for about an hour thumbing boxes of singles, Jon walked up to the counter and asked to purchase one of the two remaining boxes of UD Portraits Baseball sitting on the shelf. He then asked The Doc to film him opening the box as he had become an avid fan of our videos with Gil & Fast Eddie. Barely knowing Jon at the time, The Doc declined and explained that Gil & Fast Eddie do the videos. Disappointed Jon proceeded to open the box and was not too happy with what he pulled. He then gathered up his cards and was off, half way to his car in the parking lot Jon turned around and popped back in to The Backstop for one more shot at the remaining box. He first went to the rack and picked up a price guide to see what he could get. "Hey Doc you can get quad and triple autos" said Jon. The Doc then stated that out of all the boxes he saw opened that Derek Jeter was the best auto he saw pulled and that the rest were lower valued autographs. Jon ignored The Doc's advice and went ahead and purchaed the last box (The same box Fast Eddie showed up to buy just minutes after Jon opened it!) anyway without hesitating. As he began to open the package he paused, looked up at The Doc and turned white, "Doc, I have a funny feeling about this one, you need to film me" said Jon. This time The Doc could not refuse and went to work...The rest is history!

Well it looks like it will just be 2 companies for football cards next year and Topps is not one of them! What do you think?
