October Fever! Playoffs, MVP's, and The Cy Young
All right, So it's finally October and every good fan of sports knows that that means it's time for some playoff baseball. This season, we have so many good matchups. We got Yankees vs. Twins, Cards vs. Dodgers, The Sox vs. The Halos, and of course The Phils vs. The Rox. So, I'm gonna give my picks. I've got the Yanks over the Twins, The Angels over The Sox, The Phils over the Rox, and the Dodgers over the Cards. The Yanks are going to the the WS, and they're going to WIN. Next, we'll discuss MVP. I have Mauer for AL MVP, and Albert "The Machine" Pujols for NL MVP. Now let's talk Cy Young. Okay, so I'm going to give Greinke the AL Cy. He's 16-8 with a microscopic 2.16 ERA, and 250 K's. How can you not give it to him. He is a great story as well. Finally, I have Tim Lincecum for the NL Cy. He's 15-7, but he has a 2.48 ERA and 261 strikeouts. And, on top of that, his opponents are only batting .206 against him. That's not a typo. Check ESPN. Well, that's it for now. Big Ty

I agree with everything you say Big Ty. Mauer and Pujols win the MVP in their respective leagues, Zack Greinke should with out a doubt win the Cy Young. I mean, winning 16 games and having a 2.16 ERA with the ROYALS is outstanding. The Royals need to improve to stink! I think that the National League Cy Young should go to Adam Wainwright because of his incredible performance this season. He's showed that hard work pays off. 19-8 with a 2.48 ERA and 233 innings pitched, that's just superior when you compare it to the rest of the league.

NL CY I'd look at Adam Wainright ....numbers look hot....AL Cy ...I'm thinkin' Felix Hernandez
MVP AL I like Texeira and NL I'd have to agree "the Machine" takes it again....Playoffs ...obviously you are spot on with your picks...

Considering Greinke pitches in the American League, that ERA is outstanding along with the 250 K's - thumbs up. With opponents only batting .206 against Lincecum, it makes it tough not to vote for him.
