The Fall of the Vikings

Hi guys, I'm back. I apologize for not blogging about the World Series, but, to me, it was one of the dullest we have had in years. Low scoring games, no homers, just pitching. It didn't make a very interesting ballgame. Anyhow, I wanted to talk about the Vikings. To be quite honest, I had high hopes for the Vikes this year. However, they seem to be crumbling. Issue number 1 would be Brad Childress. Now, you could say Brett Favre is the problem, but, in reality, he hasn't played that bad. The… Continue

I've Got the Dirt... on LeBron!

Okay crew, I'm back. And this time, I've got something big. If I sold this to TMZ they'd probably hand me a nice wad of cash. So here's the story. My Dad was in Cleveland, on his usual, weekly, business trip. He was out at dinner, and was introduced to a man who told him that he had the real dirt on LeBron James. Whether this is true or not, I don't know, but I have a feeling this man was legitimate. Supposedly, there was a clause in LeBron's contract, (that was kept undisclosed to the public)… Continue

It's Football Season!

Okay, today's blog is somewhat football related, but my topic has to do with a new prediction-like blog for each week of the NFL REGULAR season, and playoffs, of course. But I really don't want to talk about playoffs right now, just like Jim Mora. My initial plan was to put out a weekly blog every Saturday or so, and write about my thoughts on each game. I would set up the blog like this in a ?chart?… Continue

I remember that...

A few days ago, a friend of mine asked me, "Hey Tyler, how will you remember Alex Rodriguez?" I said to him, I will remember A-Rod as one of the most talented and promising players the league has ever seen. But at the same time, I can't get out of my mind the fact that he was a user. But then again, steroids can't teach a player to recognize pitches and lay off of them. I'm going to be very honest, I'm tired of the whole "Well, yes, he used, but...". I'm sick of it. Don't let the 'roiders in… Continue

The New LeBron

Hey guys, I'm back. I couldn't resist blogging about Mr. James. First, I'm extremely happy that LeBron
went to Miami. The reason being that now someone can finally compete with the Lakers. Now, the other day,
someone was spamming some forum that the Lakers are still better than the Heat, trio or not. False. Okay, you
have me with Kobe. But here's where the differences are; in SF and PF positions. Let's get something straight,
LeBron owns Artest. Period. And,…

The Best Ever?

About a week ago, the most anticipated debut in MLB history was made. Stephen Strasburg, of the Washington Nationals, gave up only 2 runs in 7 IP, and struck out 14 Pirates batters. This phenom possesses an explosive, 100 MPH fastball with an 80 MPH 12-6 curve. He blew through the farm system, with a sub 1 ERA. This move was great preperation for Mr. Strasburg, and allowed the Nats to keep him from arbitration for a little bit longer. Overall, I believe that Stephen will be a perennial… Continue

Decisions, Decisions...

Okay, it's time to take a poll. You see, my grandparents from Jersey are coming out and we plan to go to a D-Backs game. They're here 1 week, and arrive tomorrow (June 7). Should we go to see "The Machine" and Carp or go see Jason Heyward in his rookie campaign? I'm very indecisive so far, so I needed some help. Post your vote in the comments section. Oh, and I'll be sure to post pics of the game and the autos I snag. Thanks, Ty

NBA Free Agency (Update)

Okay, I figured that I would re-evaluate this upcoming NBA free agency class, which, may I say, is ridiculous. First off, we all learned two things from LeBron's interview with Larry King. First, that the Cavs have a supposed "edge" in signing Mr. James over other teams in the league. In my opinion, this is TOTAL garbage. Yes, I called his bluff. And second, there in fact was a meeting between several marquis players in the league. Namely, Amar'e Stoudamire, LJ, Joe Johnson, and D-Wade. That… Continue

Give The Kid The Perfect Game!

Okay, the talk of this last day or so has been the blown call that cost Armando Galarraga of the Tigers a Perfect

Game. And since then, the league has stated that the call will not be overturned, meaning, the Perfect Game doesn't count. But anyhow, it was a Perfecto. It is as clear as day. The runner wasn't even close. And, whether everyone realizes this or not, this call will change everything. And it will be for the better, not worse. Yes, replay should and probably will be implemented… Continue

The NBA Finals- 2010

Ah, the Lakers- Celtics rivalry. One of the best. What a better treat to see them play in the finals once again. 2008 was a bitter loss for this Lakers team. And since, it has only added more fuel on this rivalry's fire. The Lakers are hungry for another championship. But, no matter how well they may play in these first games, they will remember 2 years ago. Overall, I think the Celtics have 2 HUGE advantages. First, they've dominated the Lake Show in Finals past. And second, which is probably… Continue

Ty's MLB Season So Far

Here's my take on this very exciting season to this point. I'll throw in a few predictions as well.

AL East- This division has been one of the most interesting so far. Who thought the Rays' pitching would be this good? They've taken their place as the powerhouse up to now. That dominance will last to the end of this season, and into the postseason. But hey, let's not forget about the Yanks. Simple, they're the wild card favorite. The Blue Jays will in fact finish third in…

And LeBron Will Go Where?

Everyone has different opinions on this subject, so I thought I'd put my two cents in. Okay, we've all heard the Nets, Cavs, Bulls, Knicks, Heat, and even the Clippers are involved in the LeBron sweepstakes. Bottom line is- he wants to win. He'll be the very LAST marquis player to sign. And of course, any GM wants to sign LeBron A.S.A.P. to attract other players. Stop saying that there's some sort of "package deal." That's false.
In my opinion, Mr. James doesn't have a clue on where he is…

Tim Tebow...???

Okay, I've been gone for a while, and today I was in the mood for a good blog. Today, we're gonna talk about Tim Tebow. I'm gonna set this straight right of the bat- Tim Tebow, in my opinion, will have a successful NFL career. Notice how I didn't say "quarterback." This kid is immensely talented. He's a winner. However, Mr. Tebow isn't your everyday QB. He can run, and he's AGILE. I smell some wildcat plays for him in Denver. Anyhow, Tim will play at the NFL level, but the question is, at what… Continue

A-Rod... The Transformation

Okay, we have all been amazed by this "new" A-Rod we are all witnessing. However, it is my opinion he has simply become the "old" A-Rod, the one that played for the Seattle Mariners with Junior and Co. You see, back then, A-Rod was not doing 'roids, and he he had a killer lineup that included Ken Griffey Jr. and the likes of Edgar Martinez. And, he had the reliable Randy Johnson. The pressure wasn't always on him. And now, the Yankees aren't always relying on A-Rod. They have other guys. So,… Continue

Postseason X-Factors

Okay, since I already went over the MVP's and such, and gave my picks for the playoffs, I'm going to say who I think will be the most important to their team's success...or demise. Starting with the Phils, I think that their closer, Brad Lidge, will be crucial in this series. If he can throw that nasty slider and doesn't get rattled, the Phils will have more hope than they already have- for this AND next season. For the Dodgers, I think their guy who needs to show up is Manny. If he can do what… Continue

October Fever! Playoffs, MVP's, and The Cy Young

All right, So it's finally October and every good fan of sports knows that that means it's time for some playoff baseball. This season, we have so many good matchups. We got Yankees vs. Twins, Cards vs. Dodgers, The Sox vs. The Halos, and of course The Phils vs. The Rox. So, I'm gonna give my picks. I've got the Yanks over the Twins, The Angels over The Sox, The Phils over the Rox, and the Dodgers over the Cards. The Yanks are going to the the WS, and they're going to WIN. Next, we'll discuss… Continue

Well it looks like it will just be 2 companies for football cards next year and Topps is not one of them! What do you think?
